The Oyo state goverment early in the morning demolished a Music house, a building claimed to be 800M owned by a popular musician known as YINKA AYEFELE.
The building located at along Challenge Toll Gate Express, Ibadan was said to have been demolished in the early hours of Sunday, 19th 2018, with the oyo state goverment claiming that it has alerted the management of the building of the upcoming demolition exercise in which has expired on Wednesday, 15th August 2018.
Ayefele while reacting to the demolition said the construction of the Music House followed due process because it was recalled that the state government had an issue with the building before saying it affected the physical planning rules. He had also gone to the High Court in Oyo state claiming that the government does not have any right to demolish his property because it followed a due process before its construction. Many sympathisers were seen at the scene of the demolition, with many of them crying and pleading for the building to be spared. But, with all the approches and pleas, the building was eventually demolished in the early hours of Sunday.
Yinka Ayefele while reacting after the demolition of the building went to his Facebook and Instagram pages where he wrote:
“Oyo state government did at last…..my pain my sweat..so help me God.”
