The Zamfara State Police Command have repulsed assaults on Chali and Gobirawa people group in Maru Local Government territory of the state and captured one of the infamous desperados threatening the zone.
The suspect is Zakoa Buhari, the child of an outlaw boss famously known as Buhari-Daji.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Kenneth Ebrimson expressed this while strutting the suspect before newsmen in Gusau on Tuesday.
Ebrimson said there was an endeavor by a gathering of furnished criminals to assault the two networks in the early long stretches of July 23, which was disappointed by the police strategic activity groups.
“On accepting the misery call, we immediately assembled security staff involving individuals from the police counter psychological oppression unit and police portable faculty to the scene, “They connected with the scoundrels in a weapon fight which prompted harming and capturing one of the outlaws while others fled.
“The scoundrel, Zakoa Buhari was later distinguished as child recently Buharin-Daji, an infamous brigands boss who was executed in April this year, while alternate marauders withdrew to the hedge.
“One AK-47 rifle, with two rounds of live ammo, 77 rounds of 7.62mm live ammo were recouped from the suspect”, he said.
The suspect is in police care helping with data on the rest of the outlaws.
