Previous mentor of the Super Eagles, Festus Adegboye Onigbinde has told the Chris Giwa-driven Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), not to feel undermined by any potential restriction from the world football overseeing body, FIFA.
Onigbinde was addressing Hot Sports about the sack of Amaju Pinnick as NFF president, which saw Giwa introduced in his stead, following a court administering.
He expressed that any boycott could be a surprisingly beneficial turn of events.
“The fact of the matter is our football is in the doldrums. This is an incredible chance to complete things right. I couldn’t care less in the event that we are restricted by FIFA. In the event that we are prohibited over the emergency and we utilize the maybe a couple a very long time to reposition and disinfect our football, at that point let it be.
“My advantage is on how we can develop the diversion in the nation and not whether FIFA bans us or not. On the off chance that it takes the boycott for us to take care of business, I think I unequivocally bolster that,” he said.
